The safflower plant grows tall and has globular flower heads that can vary from brilliant orange to a deep reddish orange in color. The stems are a stiff and hardy with an olive green thistle-like appearance and lots of leaves. The Dried Safflower is dried using ambient air with no added preservatives or coloring. This item will retain the same color, appearance, and integrity dried as when fresh for several years particularly when displayed out of direct sunlight.
